Sports Physiotherapy

Our team has over 15 years of experience in sports physiotherapy, working with athletes at international, national, and local levels. We've supported local and regional teams including:

Whatever the sport or level, we’ll tailor our functional exercise programmes to meet the unique demands of each athlete, enhancing performance and helping to prevent injury.


Pre & Post Operative Rehabilitation

Just like an athlete prepares for an event, prehabilitation (or prehab) prepares your body for surgery. We’ll conduct a full assessment to understand your symptoms, joint movement, and strength. Based on this, we’ll create a personalised treatment plan with practical exercises to optimise your results. This can lead to:

  • Lower need for inpatient rehabilitation

Spinal Mobilisation and Manipulation

Spinal Mobilisation and Manipulation involves specialised movement techniques to relieve stiffness, reduce pain, and restore your spinal function. This is a highly effective technique in managing conditions such as whiplash and chronic headaches, as well as general stiffness in the neck and back. We also provide advice for strength and exercise to improve your results.

With an increasing number of people working at desks and leading sedentary lifestyles, spinal mobility is becoming more and more important. In some cases, a stiff mid-back, or thoracic spine, can even affect your breathing and energy levels. By mobilising this area correctly, we can improve your rib movement and overall breathing.


Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a gentle needle treatment for releasing pain, inflammation, and tension in the body. The strategic needle placement eases myofascial trigger points and relaxes tight or overworked muscles.

Our physiotherapists are fully trained in acupuncture through postgraduate study, and are fully registered, so you're always in safe hands. We also use single-use, sterile needles to guarantee the highest level of hygiene.

We also offer dry needling which is a similar technique used to target trigger points in the muscles and relieve tension and pain, often used for cases of myofascial pain syndrome.
